After an underwhelming BBL season in 2018, Melbourne Stars have bolstered their bowling lineup with the addition of left-arm bowler Joel Paris from Western Australia.

Having previously represented both the Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes, Paris is on the brink of joining his third BBL team. His performance at the Sheffield Shield level for Western Australia has been remarkable, playing a crucial role in their consecutive Shield victories and earning him a place in the Australia A four-day cricket team.

Despite a career spanning 10 seasons and 37 BBL games, Paris has remained a peripheral figure in T20 cricket. His participation was limited, featuring in just 25 matches for the Perth Scorchers between 2013 and 2020, primarily due to three injury-ridden seasons. Often kept in reserve as a backup to Jason Behrendorff, the Scorchers carefully managed his workload to preserve his fitness for red-ball duties with Western Australia.

In 2021, he made the move to the Hobart Hurricanes in search of more T20 opportunities. However, he only managed to participate in a total of 12 matches spread across two seasons. Notably, his standout performance came under swinging conditions at the Gabba last season, where he claimed figures of 2 for 15 from four overs, including an impressive tally of 13 dot balls.

The Stars had previously picked international left-arm pacers Trent Boult and Luke Wood in the draft. With uncertainty around their availability, the team might have to utilize a top pick in the international draft to secure a potent spinner. Following Adam Zampa’s departure, the Stars seized the chance to fortify their squad by enlisting Paris, along with Australia Test bowler Scott Boland.

The finals series will also be tweaked, going from five teams qualifying to four, with a yet-to-be-determined four-match finals system.

Often criticised for being too long, the reduction in men’s matches takes the competition back to 2017-18, when it was in its prime.

While dates are yet to be set for this summer, the reduced competition should allow the season to be played entirely within the Christmas school holidays. It will also ensure marquee overseas players are available for a higher percentage of matches, along with giving a greater chance for Australia’s white-ball stars to play all games.

CA had first indicated its desire to shorten the competition during last summer’s broadcast negotiations, with changes mooted for 2024-25.

Both Foxtel and Seven had been open to bringing the change in sooner, but a number of deals had to be struck with club sponsors, and to alter venue arrangements. However, the general feel across most stakeholders was a shorter season would lead to a better competition with increased ratings and exposure for each match.

“A shortened BBL will allow us greater flexibility to ensure we can deliver the best possible fixture for clubs and fans,” BBL general manager Alistair Dobson said. “[We can do that] while providing a platform that allows players to continue to produce the world-class levels of cricket we’ve seen over the duration of the tournament.”

No changes, however, will be made to the WBBL for now. While a shorter tournament remains a possibility in the future to continue to attract overseas talent, domestic players prefer a 14-game regular season, given it is the pinnacle of their summer.

CA is banking on the notion of drastically increasing the pay for the best overseas talent to $110,000 for the season to try and entice them to the competition.

“It’s vital that we make sure the tournament continues to be at the forefront of T20 Leagues, as the global women’s game continues to evolve at a rapid rate,” Dobson said. “As a league, we’re always reviewing and looking at ways we can evolve, adapt and innovate, and as part of that we’ll continue to consider the structure of the WBBL season.”

The BBL will also open the door for clubs to begin re-signing off-contract players from next week, before advances from rivals are made from May 22.

Officials have also confirmed clubs will be able to begin trading draft order picks for the first time as part of player-trade deals.

Work is expected to begin at the Playsport Scotland leisure complex in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, next year and is due to be complete by 2026.

Steve Timoney, founder of stock market listed group Smart Metering Systems, is behind what has been called the largest single investment in Scottish basketball history.

Mr Timoney, who owns the British Basketball League (BBL) and Women’s BBL club along with his wife Alison, said: “This is a hugely exciting moment for the future of the Caledonia Gladiators.

“Our new base at Playsport will go on to become one of the finest basketball facilities in Europe once it is completed in 2026.

“It includes plans for a class-leading academy, which will train youngsters from Scotland and across the world with the aim of developing them into elite players.”

bbl teams – six6s casino – NBA/Weishao’s career number of assists exceeded “Gloves” and squeezed into the top 10 in history

Russell Westbrook scored 17 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds in today’s game against the Nets, which made his total number of assists in his career reach 8972,

bbl teams

surpassing Gary Payton, the “glove”, and ranking 10th in history.

bbl news

Westbrook’s next goal will be “dribble textbook” Thomas, with only 89 assists between the two sides.

bbl schedule

At present, in the list of historical assists, active players seize three of them, with Chris Paul ranking third and LeBron James ranking sixth.

bbl players

It is worth noting that James is only seven or eight times away from Mark Jackson, the fifth in history, and Steve Nash, the sixth in history.

bbl scores

He is expected to surpass Nick in the game tomorrow.

bbl teams – Mukarram Jah – NBA/Davis will return to the Lakers in February to sign the “cousin” emergency restricted area?

Although the Lakers ended three consecutive defeats today, they are still actively strengthening in the free market.

bbl teams

The Lakers recently signed Sterling Brown on the 10th.

bbl news

Last Friday, they also tried out two long center players, Meyers Leonard and “cousin” DeMarcus Cousins, and are expected to see their joining.

bbl schedule

After the trial training, the coach Darvin Ham gave the two people a positive evaluation: “They both look great.”

bbl players

However, with reservations, he said: “Whether we can do something to them is another matter, but we have been trying to try under different circumstances.”

bbl scores

According to American media, the Lakers’ leading center Anthony Davis may return from injury as soon as early February. So Renard and Cassens may be able to solve the urgent problem of the Lakers’ restricted area, but whether they will sign the 10th contract with them in the end, Ham replied to the team’s due diligence report, “Let’s wait and see.”.

The 32-year-old Cassens, who was once the NBA center general, turned to Pelican after playing for the King for six seasons, and played for years. However, at the peak of his career, he was injured. First, Achilles tendon was broken, then left quadriceps was torn, and then anterior cruciate ligament was torn. After returning, he began to wander in the NBA teams. He was rumored to play in the future, but now he is still looking for a new home in the NBA.

When Renard played for the Heat in the past, he said improper words in the live video game, which was suspected of discriminating against Jews. At that time, he was fined $50000 and was not allowed to participate in team affairs for a week. However, that year, he was also reimbursed in advance due to shoulder and ankle surgery. The last time he appeared on the court was January 2021.

bbl teams – Real – barcelona – The NBA away audience shouted at the MVP Warrior Coach to praise Curry for “modern Jordan”

The Warriors were visiting the wizard today.

bbl teams

The star of the battle, Stephen Curry, scored 41 points, and even shouted “MVP” to the away audience.

bbl news

Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Warriors, said that Curry was “Michael Jordan in modern times”.

bbl schedule

After the game of reversing the wizard, the head coach of the Warriors team Cole said in an interview that Kerry was “the modern version of Jordan”, He always attracts fans to see him “perform”.

bbl players

Cole went on to say that Kerry can attract a large number of fans.

bbl scores

Another thing is that there has never been a player like him in the past, and his relatively small figure in the league is not like the established impression of a “superhero”. Many people have the same height and weight as Kerry, but only Kerry can play such a performance, which has inspired many people.

Cole was one of the members of the Bulls’ second three consecutive victories in the 1990s. He was the team’s top scorer at that time. He also shot into the winning distance in the sixth game of the 1997 championship against Jazz. After coaching the Warriors, Cole led the team to win four championships and broke the Bulls’ record of 72 wins in a single season with 73 wins from 2015 to 2016.

bbl teams – Steve Aoki – Bad news from NBA/Skating! Halliburton is absent for at least 2 weeks due to injury

This season, Horse Skating has made the fans amazing, with 23 wins and 19 losses, temporarily ranking the 6th in the Eastern Region.

bbl teams

However, today’s bad news came out. The current point guard, Tyrese Haliburton, fell down and was injured due to shoe loss in the previous match with Nick.

bbl news

The diagnosis result was determined to be left elbow sprain and left knee bone contusion, which is expected to be absent for at least 2 weeks.

bbl schedule

According to ESPN, some fans saw Halliburton leave the stadium with crutches. The team arranged an examination for him the next day and is expected to re-evaluate the injury in 2 weeks.

bbl players

Harry Burton, 22, has played 40 games this season, averaging 20.2 points, 10.2 assists and 4 rebounds, making him the league’s leading assists.

bbl scores

The shooting percentage is 48%, and the three-point shooting percentage is 39.9%, which is also excellent.

bbl teams – In the NBA game, someone threw “this gun” on the court, and the Heat center quarreled with the coach

The Heat faced the Thunder attack at home today, with about 9:15 seconds left in the next quarter. After the Miami point guard Gabe Vincent took the ball half way, suddenly a massage gun flew onto the court, which made everyone look silly. The match was also suspended. The referee quickly found the murderer, and it was the Heat’s senior center, Dewayne Dedmon, who was on the bench at that time, who lost the gun. He received a technical foul and was expelled from the game.

bbl teams

In the first half of the match between the Heat and the Thunder, there was an unexpected episode. After a quarrel with the coach Erik Spoelstra on the sideline, the senior center of the Heat, Damon, threw the massage gun on the court in a fit of anger. At that time, there was about 9:15 seconds left in the next quarter of the game. Damon immediately received the technical foul and was driven out, leaving the data of 2 points and 3 rebounds.

bbl news

Damon has played for the Heat in the past three seasons, mainly as a substitute. He started 15 games last season, and started from the bench in the first 28 games of this season. He played 11.9 minutes per game, and could score 6 points and 3.7 rebounds. Before throwing the massage gun, Dimon had a “fierce” communication with the coach, Speicher, on the bench. At present, it is not clear why they quarreled. However, from the expression of Dimon’s face, it seems that he is quite dissatisfied and more excited.

bbl schedule

The fans were quite dumbfounded when they saw that Dimon threw the massage gun randomly. They “predicted” that he might be sent away before the trade deadline in February. Others said, “This is the great heat culture, right?”

It is worth mentioning that Jimmy Butler, the first brother of the Heat, also played on the sidelines last season with the “team spirit” Udonis Haslem. ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst revealed at that time, “Butler had no way to maintain a good relationship with the team in the past, so when Spostro said to him,” I know you are crazy “, I think that was true. Although both sides were in a hot atmosphere at that time, I think the coach really thought that.”
